Review of Elegance by Kathleen Tessaro

Totally uncalled for, because the result is absolutely delightful! I was very happy with the author’s writing style. Natural law also dictates that the remaining 45 percent consist of at least two shelves worth of literary criticism on Paradise Lost and there should always be an entire room in the basement devoted to military history which, by sheer coincidence, will be haunted by a man in his seventies.

I really enjoyed the way the author tied in Louise’s life with Madame Dariaux’s book, with each chapter heading a letter of the alphabet. This book, I guess, was supposed to be a dark comedy but to me it was just plain sad.
