Most of Morris’s books bring us back down to our awareness of our animal selves After reading Morris I understand why my grandchild acts like she does, and can be a better grandparent for it.
As usual in my experience with Desmond Morris, I found this book interesting–especially with reading it on the occasion of the birth of our first grandson–and well furnished with fascinating little tidbits, some things you probably never learned in school or heard at your mother’s knee.

He studies human beings like they are animals. My kids are secure in themselves and way ahead of the ignorant ones spouting “You’ll spoil them”. There is an index, but no bibliography.
