Supposedly the built in Boss-Tech preamp has automatic adjustable gain to prevent overload and adjust accordingly to the signal strength needed to receive a specific RF signal. Remove Advertisements Sponsored Links.

You want to save the weakest signal, come Hell or high water. They are, all of those filter above CH52, MHz.

She said, “You’re not supposed to think. I remember that with most 30dB power amplifiers, the so called “level” or “gain” adjustment was just a variable attenuator on the signal input path, whereas the higher gain power amplifiers actually had two stages of amplification, with the attenuator in between the stages.
I performed measurements on it at different gain settings and wasn’t impressed. Etleves signal is promoting them, saw them for sale there today. Last edited by AntAltMike; at They have ordered a new shipment of the larger DAT versions which should be available again in a few weeks.
I can barely conceptualize how that could even be physically possible if the gain adjustment configuration is interstage attenuation, as ADTech reports. Is there some way to blow up the label to read it? As I understand it, when we measure the “strength” of a single, 8VSB channel, we are measuring the power developed across its width of about 5.
HDTV Primer is not high on these antennas: The latter two appear to be the same and look very similar to the DAT HD, which was reviewed along with many other Antennas by the fol. Antennas pointed in different directions This amplifier design doesn’t let the user think, or to utilize the fruits of his thinking. I do the thinking here.
It looks like the table is showing that with such an input load, the maximum output level or each channel would be 17 to 18dB dee that.
Televes is a well known Spanish TV Antenna Manufacturer who has been in business for releves very long time Looks like gobbledegook to me.
I’d like to chime in to point out that the new Televes US models filter frequencies above MHz and ship with a UL listed power supply unit. If so I would prefer those to this one. I’m sure I would hope that these values have been adjusted for the wider, European channel bandwidth.
If you weaken the input into it, it would have to further amplify everything, noise and all, right up to it’s maximum gain. FWIW, I know that as recently as a few years ago, a lot of European amplifiers still used analog signal levels in their ratings, which grossly inflated them. You can just come in here every day and do whatever you want and I’ll give you your B”. Televess drawing depicts the gain on six equal strength channels, with the individual output channel strengths not shown.
I used to have a math teacher who was really committed to “rote”. When you are trying to sustain the viability of signals coming off the same heleves that may have 40dB of signal level variance, it is not enough to have the amplifier adjust itself to a cumulative wattage level that limits some calculated intermodulation derivative to some arbitrary level.

In less than a week, most of these Televes antennas from Solid Signal have sold out. Stacking antennas is a better option where the spacing distance is set so that apertures don’t overlap.
When trying to salvage or sustain a weak signal in the presence of a stronger one there is no ideal, cumulative wattage level.
Are there any teleges models of preamplifier that have manual gain adjustments that are not just input attenuators? Is dBuV any greater than what Wineguard claims as the safe level for its amplifiers with a one channel load? The noise figure begins to degrade below a gain of 30 dB, 3dB at 20 dB of gain and is between dB at 15 dB gain.
