Carnie’s style is great: He specializes in generative syntactic theory with an emphasis on constituency, VSO languages, copular constructions and the Celtic Generativw. Although Carnie can be funny sometimes, the book can be boring and irritating, especially if you’re not into syntax but have to take for a college course.
