It is concise, easy to read and full of concrete examples to apply and support the countless tips and advices in the book. He also made a fair amount of unsubstantiated claims while attempting to prove his point about certain “rules” which makes no sense to me. Unlike other books, the author of “A Rulebook for Arguments” does not waste too much space with English grammar, which, though essential if one wants to be properly understood, is better left to books on English style.

This book is a good refresher while only packing less than pages. This is the first book I’m reading about critical thinking and srguments is a very good introduction, indeed.

Complexity, Relevance and Rulenook This could be effective for a class or prolonged study of this material, but I’m not sure I would recommend it beyond a high school level and, at the same time, I’m not sure I would recommend it to high school students either because of the content of some of Meh.
