Rosie Moon is restless. When the two cross paths, they find the feeling of wanting to get out is mutual and they decide to run away together.
I found it uninspiring, uninteresting and guitarr eye-roll-worthy in its banality. It sparked my lifelong dream to just pack up in a Kombi van and just drive – stopping wherever I felt the urge to.
Both Rosie and Asher were well rounded, relatable character s. I was sufficiently interested enough to read on, but I was also afraid – in the back of my mind I wondered if this style was going to be able to sustain a whole novel or even come together to make a satisfying whole. Guitar Highway Rose definitely gave me the urge just to take off randomly one day to Australia, make a trip with no plans, no worries, nothing and just live in the moment.

But this is not a negative story about the dangers of the road and all the bad things that could happen to you out there. They sprout from nowhere and feed on excitement, sprinkled with adventure juice and the sweet flavour of the forbidden.
My dear Librarian calls books like this, the ones you read over and over “Comfort food”, which is the perfect term.
It’s good, don’t get me wrong, and I completely understand all those 5 and 4 stars reviews. Here she learned a love of books, too many swear words and how to cook a decent omelette. Sometimes you just need to escape from everything family, friends, school, work, etc. It could only take someone with the heart, light touch, humour and wisdom to be able to pull this off and indeed Brigid Lowry does. When caught and brought back to his mom, Rosie tells him that next time he runs, to take her with him. I WISH this were my favorite quote from the book: I absolutely love it. Brigid’s book Tomorrow All Will Be Beautiful, filled with her short stories and poems, is just as perfect as this.
An antique brigd table covered in odds and ends, sparkly makeup, scarves, flowers, beads. Meanwhile, of course, their parents are going crazy. Overall, though, readers will likely be captivated by Lowry’s playful narrative style, and they will easily empathize with most of the characters, from the free-spirited protagonists to the parents who worry over them. A writing desk filled with paper, writing pads and books.
This is just a beautiful story. One of my best friends suggested this book to me.

But sometimes you are wrong. I’m hungry for a juicy life. This is a story of two brigjd who found themselves on the run from a petty crime Asher was accused of.

It was hard for me to sympathize with Rosie and Asher at the same time that I could see how sick with worry their families were, which makes me wonder if this is meant to be a bit of a morality tale about the consequences of teenage rebellion.
