I get too distracted when I read so at a pool or beach there’s little reading with me. The secrets shown are sad and sweet; they warm and break the heart; they bok so many aspects of what it means to live a life. All they needed was to write it down and send it into the world. But I would trade all that in if it meant I would be beautiful. I love this idea. A very powerful read and a great art project that has clearly touched a lot of lives.
I tried to explain how the thousands of secrets that had been mailed to me were more than mere confessions. I love that it’s arranged in chronological age order.
Growing up, I was not an ideal older brother. The man in the front row handed me the postcard he had read from, and the two men walked out together.

Not long ago, at one of my talks, it was my life that was changed, and the secret that inspired me came from a stranger in the front row. One page would be heart wrenching and I would cry and then the next page was something that would cause me to laugh uncontrollably.
I did identify with several of the secrets, and the one I enjoyed the most was the person who said that the day they turned 11, they waited all day for an acceptance card into Hogwarts. Aug 27, Jen rated it really liked it.

I have followed the postsecret website postsecret. I have regretted it ever since. I’m my own therapist. I still think the secrets changed once people knew they may appear on a website or a book, but it’s still amazing what people share, how I relate to some, cringe at others, and shed tears for even more.

I’m sure it’s the only book about which I can say that I loved every page. Completely understood that one. I’m kind of flabbergasted over this book.
